Topaz Lighting was founded in 1985 to fill a need in the electrical distribution industry. It was our intention to manufacture quality products, offer an extensive inventory and to provide superior customer service with a smile – all within the core objective of supporting and protecting distributor relationships with their customers.

With just three employees, Topaz started as an importer and master distributor of light bulbs and ballasts in the US. The Topaz name quickly gained a reputation for quality and on-time delivery in the industry so the company’s growth and development as a manufacturer was accelerated.

We began operations at our headquarters in Holtsville, NY and opened our first warehouse in 1986. In 1992, we opened our electrical division when Topaz Electrical was created as a supplier to distributors of conduit fittings and electrical construction materials. In 1993, Topaz bought Heyco Electric Products Corporation, considerably enlarging our product line and customer base, as well as our manufacturing capabilities. To provide better customer service to our west coast customers, we opened our West Coast office in San Fernando, CA in 2001.

Today, Topaz employs over 150 professionals and support staff nationally. We operate out of 14 warehouses in the US to provide our customers with an extensive selection of quality lamps, fittings and downlighting products. Now, more than ever, we are committed to meeting our founding goals and to provide you with the lamps and lighting products you need when you need them.

This marks the year that Topaz takes another leap forward with a new look to our brand and an even greater commitment to do what we do best -- manufacture quality products, support and protect your customer relationships, supply you with extensive inventory, and to provide you with Friendly Service and Powerful Solutions.
