New Products

We constantly build on our expertise by developing and designing new products that will help make life easier for your customers, and as a result, generate greater revenues for you. For example, Topaz recently introduced many Title 24 compliant, energy efficient products:

  • T5 Lamps,
  • 4pin Spirals
  • Pulse Start Metal Halides
  • G8 and G9 Based Halogen Lamps

In addition, we are currently joining composites (kitting) to develop new products that will feature easier usage in several lighting applications.

Topaz also keeps abreast of the latest trends in the industry so that we are prepared to support your effort in staying ahead of the changing needs of your customers. For instance, two recent trends point to developments in LEDs and their lesser-known cousin OLEDs.

LEDs continue to grow in popularity due to their extended life, brighter, cooler light and more efficient energy use than incandescent or fluorescent lamps. In time, if manufacturers, including Topaz, can produce LEDs for a low cost, LEDs may become the future of lighting.

However, a recent development that bears watching is the use of OLEDs in sheet form. Recently, scientists have adapted a technology – organic LEDS or OLEDS -- now used for mobile phone display screens that they say could be an efficient and flexible source of indoor lighting. OLED-based lighting burns little energy and can take almost any shape because it so thin. OLEDs can be made into light bulbs, flat panels, wrapped around corners, etc. It can even be turned into a window allowing light into the room during the day when it’s off, and lighting both the inside and outside of the window at night when it’s on. It’s new and not yet available to manufacturers but it’s an example of how Topaz stays informed to develop new products that will help you.
